New Civic makes auction debut at FLAG

Honda (UK) launched the New Civic into the second customer market at its recent Closed Auction at The Fleet Auction Group (FLAG).

160 vehicles direct from Honda (UK), including the auction launch of 14 New Civics, were presented to the 40 Honda dealers who travelled from as far as Scotland and the south coast to attend the sale.

Since the solus agreement with FLAG in 2009 Honda has achieved a 100% conversion in all its closed sales at the Leicestershire based company, with the latest auction seeing all 160 vehicles sold at an average of 104% of CAP Clean.

Richard Battams-Scott , Remarketing Manager Honda (UK) commented, “I’m really pleased with the result which underlines the confidence in the Honda brand from our dealer network.”

The full range of Honda models was on offer with the New Civic being shown in 3 different engine variants, 1.4 & 1.8 petrol and 2.2 diesel, and 3 different model variants, SE, ES & EX GT.

FLAG’s Steve Clarke said “Honda really do know how to achieve great results at every sale. This is largely down to the company’s remarketing team supporting its dealers with the best range of cars, and the confidence the dealer network have in the Honda brand. We work very closely with Honda’s remarketing team and fully support them and their dealer network by providing class leading facilities, and service which I believe is unrivalled against our competitors.”

Richard Battams-Scott added, “The New Civic is the ninth generation, the first one having been launched in July 1972, some 40 years ago to the month. The Civic has come a long way since then but is still showing its desirability 40 years later as one of Honda’s main production models.”
